Temporary Holds

Our billing system places a temporary hold on your account at the beginning of each trip. When the trip ends, the hold is updated to reflect the cost of your ride.

Temporary Holds

Authorization holds vary by city.

Depending on where you are riding, you may see holds reflected in the amount of:

  • €3.00

  • €5.00

  • €10.00

Fares less than the hold amount

If the cost of your ride is less than the initial hold amount, our billing system will automatically refund the difference.

You can expect this refund to appear on your billing statement within 5-10 business days after your ride is complete.

Fares greater than the hold amount

If the cost of your ride exceeds the initial hold amount, our system captures the held amount and charges a secondary amount for the remaining balance.

For example, if your ride costs €6, your billing statement may show a €5 charge (the initial hold) and a €1 charge (the remaining balance).

Failed Rides

If the total charge for your ride was €0, the hold amount will be fully refunded.
